Looking Ahead
As I sit here at the airport, about to jet off to Meydan, Dubai, for the next leg of my racing adventures, I can't help but reflect on the incredible journey Hollie and I experienced in Japan. We would like to give thanks to all of the owners and trainers who put their trust in us during our time, and to the fans who supported us throughout. With 13 victories for Hollie and 20 for me, it's safe to say that Japan has been good to us once again. We look forward to hopefully returning next year!
We're back in the UK, and after a successful start to 2024 with our first win, we managed to sneak in a couple of family holidays. It's a bit of catch-up time, especially since we missed out on the family Christmas while in Japan.
Now, as I await my flight, my focus is on Meydan. Tomorrow, I'll be aboard Mystic Pearl, in the Group 2 Cape Verdi Stakes, as well as rides for Sheikh Ahmed Al Maktoum. I will be back in Dubai at the end of next week alongside Sheikh Ahmed to ride once again at Meydan and then head to Jebel Ali for Saturday’s races.
Towards the end of January, there's a potential pitstop in Bahrain, followed by a trip to India in early February. From there, it's a journey through Qatar for the Amir Sword meeting and a stop in Saudi Arabia by the end of February, and kicking off March in the land Down Under, Australia.
Undoubtedly a whirlwind, but amidst flights and races, finding downtime has been crucial. Hollie and I have cherished these moments, spending quality time with friends and family.
As we gear up for the season ahead, I can't help but feel the excitement for what is to come.
