Fantastic start to the season!

Obviously it’s been a fantastic start to the season, with Williams horses absolutely flying. It’s made things a lot easier over the last 2 weeks. I suppose having the amount of stakes winners in the last 3 - 4 weeks has been absolutely incredible. 10 or 11 stakes winners in just under a month is fantastic, topped off with Alenquer winning the ‘Tattersalls Gold Cup’ at the weekend (22nd May 22).

It was wonderful jumpstart to the season. We are looking for these group one horses and they are tough to find. Thankfully Alenquer sprung his head up early in the season and hopefully he has more in the tank to go for Royal Ascot. Royal Ascot is shaping up well with all these horses who have been coming out and winning, putting their name on the card. There’s plenty of them and lots to look forward too. Hopefully all things go well for them up until the big meeting.

I have picked up a Derby ride on Sonny Liston for Charlie Hills and Chelsea Thoroughbreds. He is a solid horse who was unlucky on his last start around Chester. Then my ride in the Oaks is Tranquil Lady for Joseph O'Brien. She won on soft ground by 3-4 lengths over in Ireland in a Group 3 last time. Having had so much luck with Joseph, i’m really looking forward to riding her.

It looks to be an exciting big weekend with the Platinum Jubilee. There’s lots to get excited about and hopefully a lot more to come.
