WE GOT MARRIED!

So obviously some pretty big news about Hollie and I got out last Monday, WE GOT MARRIED. It was a beautiful day, the ceremony was held in the church that Hollie’s parents got married in, over in Herefordshire. It was was nice to have that family touch on such a monumental celebration, surrounded by our friends and family. Thank you to everyone for the really kind messages, here’s hoping married life is as fun as it started out.

We enjoyed a short but sweet honeymoon in Oman before we traveled back over to Dubai for the "World Cup" night where I rode My Oberon and Alenquer. My Oberon ran a great race, the cheekpieces have done a world of good. Hopefully, he can bounce back to his French Group 1 form this season in England. Alenquer, ran below what we were hoping for but he had pulled off a shoe and the ground was quite quick. It wasn’t a bad run, he didn’t disgrace himself but we were hoping for a little bit better. Hopefully, he can bounce back and show his Group 1 credentials once again, this summer in England.

Now onto English season. We flew back on the 2:30 am flight from Dubai, landing into Heathrow at 8 am. We went straight up to Doncaster on Sunday where I rode a winner aboard Maljoom on his first start. He looks an extremely exciting horse for Sheikh Ahmed Al Maktoum and William Haggas this summer. It was well worth the hard trip up there after landing. It's been a steady start to the turf season, with turf racing few and far between every other few days. I am really looking forward to it all getting going, the season really cranks up pretty fast when we're up and swinging along.
