Starman & the July Cup!

Since Royal Ascot it has been a busy time with exciting race meetings coming thick and fast.

It was fantastic to get Starman up in the July Cup, it was a huge performance and great for David and Sue Ward and trainer Ed Walker to have their first a Group 1 winners in the UK. It was a massive thrill riding him for them as I obviously rode Starman quite a few times last year and to be honest I thought with my commitments to William Haggas I wouldn’t be able ride him again so I was very lucky to be on him on the right day.

I was very pleased to get 100 winners up for the year, obviously being away for nearly three months with my quarantine and trip to Australia to have hit at the start of August seems pretty surreal. The target is another 100 this year and hopefully things can continue heating up!

This weekend just gone was also special as I had my sisters wedding which was a lovely day and we have stolen a few ideas for our wedding!
