Busy busy week!

It has been a really busy but enjoyable week with a winner nearly each day so far.

On Saturday it was nice to bag a winner for William Haggas and Cheveley Park as Ice Sprite won well at Newmarket. Tony Carroll then supplied me with yet another winner as Rose Hip won at Ascot and it is always nice to ride winners for Tony as we go along way back as I used to go in and ride out there when I was 12/13.

Glorious Goodwood this week has obviously been fantastic with a winner each day so far. I have a good book of rides today and I am really looking forward to Nahaarr in the Stewards Cup tomorrow. His win at Newbury last time out was very impressive and hopefully he will go onto bigger and better things but obviously the Stewards Cup is an absolute lottery and you need a lot of luck. Looking back on the week, the Group 1 Sussex Stakes was an incredible race. Mohaather’s turn of foot was pretty sensational after being boxed in and Circus Maximus looked like he had it won at the furlong pole but that’s Goodwood and I guess that’s the beauty of the track. One Voice ran a cracker yesterday in the Group 1 Qatar Nassau Stakes and at the furlong pole I thought I was going to get up but sadly she couldn’t quite get by the tough Fancy Blue.
