Addeybb is returning

Exciting news this week is that Addeybb is returning to run in the Ranvet Stakes on Saturday 20th at Rosehill. There is plenty of rain forecast, which is great, the track was riding a soft eight yesterday after trials, hopefully the rain forecast will keep topping it up. I rode him this morning, he felt brilliant, he’s travelled well and if anything he’s more settled this year. I’m really looking forward to it, even though we have a target on our back as everyone knows what we are bringing to the table!

It’s been great to get a few winners, Mossman Gorge for Matthew Dale at Canberra on Black Opal day, which is the main day up there. It was great to get a midweek city winner for Gary Portelli on Above And Beyond. On Saturday it was great to knock in a Group 3 winner at Rosehill for Chris Waller aboard Toffee Tongue, it’s good to get on the board in those sorts of races.

It’s all systems go for the Autumn Carnival which starts this weekend and for the next three weeks of my stay before I head home. There is some major racing coming up and I have got a good ride in the Golden Slipper on Captivant for Peter and Paul Snowden, he’s owned by China Horse Club. I’ve had success for China Horse Club before including in a $2million 2yo race last year with a different trainer. Captivant is a very exciting 2yo, it’s all systems go!
