Hong Kong bound
While it’s been fantastic to be riding back on home soil, it is now time for another adventure! I’m going to be heading over to Hong Kong on Friday evening after riding at Sandown for Champions weekend at Sha Tin Racecourse. My main ride is Dubai Honour, who looks to have travelled over from Australia in great form, but he will also be joined with nine other rides on the day, including Flaming Rib for Hugo Palmer, and Waikuku for John Size in both other Group 1 races of the day.
Before travelling over to Hong Kong, however, I am looking forward to getting back on board My Prospero in the Bet 365 Mile Group 2 at Sandown, as all of you know, he was one of our stand out performers last year, but sadly never managed to get his deserved Group 1 on the scorecard, so hopefully this campaign he can go on to compete in some of Europe’s biggest races.
To be travelling over to Hong Kong for a book of rides like this weekend is an extremely exciting opportunity and exactly what every Jockey dreams of, so I’m thoroughly looking forward to hopefully being able to make the most of the opportunity and all being well will be flying home with a winner or two under my belt.
I’ll be landing back at Heathrow on Monday morning at 5:40 am and boarding a plane straight to Ireland to ride Queen Aminatu for Somerville Lodge and Mr Oppenheimer in a Group 3 at the Curragh. Whilst it’s an extremely busy couple of days, I’m hoping it will be all worthwhile!
I should be back in the saddle in England on Tuesday either at Yarmouth or Nottingham on the hunt for more winners!
