Finally, cleared to ride!!!

After returning to Australia on Sunday evening I have subsequently been cleared to ride! Since galloping a few horses first thing this morning with two trials at Randwick after my shoulder is feeling great and ready to be thrown into action at the races!

I’m kicking off with two rides tomorrow for Annabelle Neasham and John O’Shea, both of which have been huge supporters since I’ve been coming to Australia so it’s great to be back in the saddle for them! Hopefully it will act as a bit of a warm up for the weekend where the Group 1 action commences.

Saturday was a tough day to be sat on the sidelines, but watching Dubai Honour steamroll the field in the Group 1 Ranvet, has left us all pretty excited about the Queen Elizabeth Stakes on 8th April, it will be stiffer competition but he looked a million dollars and worthy of making it into an extremely competitive race.

Hopefully I’ll have a bit of luck with my rides here over the next 3 weeks and be able to make up for lost time, and with the English season due to commence soon too it leaves plenty to look forward to once back home.

Hollie is also doing really well with her injury and is still looking on target for April, just in time for the major action kicking off on the turf. We’ve also just celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary from opposite sides of the world, it’s amazing to think a year has gone by already, there’s obviously been tougher times more recently, but it’s been an incredible year spent travelling, riding winners, and enjoying what live throws at us!

Once again thank-you to everyone for the continued support, hopefully we’ll be able to repay you all by getting back in the winners enclosure soon.
