100 winners for the year!

Since the last blog I enjoyed one of my best days in the saddle up at Ayr as Nahaarr won the Ayr Gold Cup in incredible fashion. I had to drop in on him early and approaching the two furlong pole I couldn't get any daylight but with three quarters of a furlong to run it all opened up and he absolutely sailed home to pick up the field. It was an absolutely incredible performance and it was great for William Haggas and the team to land a race like that, Heritage Handicaps of the standard of an Ayr Gold Cup are always tough to win.

Addeybb provided me with another winner on the day as he won the Doonside Cup (Listed Race) which was great to get him back on track after having such a long off since Ascot. Hopefully that lines him up well for Champions Day which I am really looking forward to. I am hopeful he can get his ground and everything can go to plan.

Johan completed a treble on the day for me making the seven hour drive worth it!I had a trip to France last weekend and with the new quarantine rules that was a bit of an experience. I had to get a Covid 19 test on Thursday before I went, which came back negative. I drove down to Folkestone and got the train across and then drove to Longchamp.

I had three rides ,unfortunately Joseph O’Brien’s came out due to the contaminated feed and William Hagas’s did not run due to a better option for her today in the Group 1 FIllies Mile at Newmarket. Sadly I had no joy last weekend but it was great to be there on Arc Day and nice to be able to travel abroad albeit with some pretty strict protocols.

I also hit 100 winners for the year which is obviously a big personal milestone considering the break we had due to Covid. It was also great for William Haggas to hit 100 as well and it's great that I have been able to contribute to that and I am thankful for the opportunities I get given.
